The American Kennel Club (AKC) provides two types of registrations. There is a “limited” registration and a “full” registration.

An AKC limited registrations is for a family companion. This means that this particular dog is registered, but none of it’s puppies can be registered with the AKC. It also can not participate in AKC conformation show competitions but there are other venues that a dog on a limited registration can take part in. The AKC limited registration certificate has an orange border around the edge. This type of registration is paired with a non-breeding agreement and puppies are priced currently at $25000.00 from Supernova English Labradors.

An AKC full registration means that the particular dog can produce AKC registered puppies and participate in all AKC events and competitions. The AKC full registration certificate will have a purple border around the edge. We only allow a full registration on select Labrador puppies that have been evaluated and found to be of superior competition quality. We only sell puppies with AKC full registration on an outright sale to homes that already have a proven record of competition.

Be careful of breeders that offer all of their puppies with full registration as they are not concerned about upholding the breed standard, their reputation or the quality of their line.
